General Rules

1.   Exact number of races and time intervals are dependent upon registrations received.  All races will take place within the event time frame of 12 noon - 6 PM on October 10th, 2021. 

2.   Must be a full or mixed breed Doxie to enter the race - maximum 30 lbs.

3.   Each Dog in race events must be accompanied by 2 humans (included in your registration fee):  ONE human at the starting line (dogs will be released from behind a starting gate) and ONE human to catch the dog behind the finish line.

4.   Owners may use dog's favorite toy, ball, treat or other motivational tools as needed to motivate their dog to cross the finish line (humans and motivational tools must remain behind the finish line).

5.   Throwing balls/toys, laser lights or shining lights down the track is NOT allowed.

6.   All Judges’ rulings are final!

 

Doxie Classifications
Please choose your race classification at registration.  All classifications are subject to review and verification.  Classifications have been set & approved by Cobb Animal Clinic, Greensboro, NC. 

"Adult Races" are 30 feet -- Adult Doxies are:  1-6 years old (have not reached their 7th birthday); under 15 pounds = "mini";  16 pounds+ =  "standard"

"Puppy Races" are 20 feet -- Doxie Puppies are:  up to 11 months old (have not reached their 1st birthday)

"Senior Races" are 20 feet -- Senior Doxies are:  7 years old+

"Mixed Breed Races" are 30 feet -- Doxies who are less than 100% Dachshund; Max weight = 30 pounds

A quick reminder about registration:  Registration is ongoing and dynamic. As we receive entries, each dog is placed into their proper division based on age & ability.  With each registration submission, heat and gate assignments could change. It is for this reason, we finalize registration as divisions reach their limits or 72 hours prior to Race Day. Please be patient in allowing us to complete this process leading up to 24 hours before the race. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, patience & understanding.

EVENT REGISTRATION { FOR HUMANS :-) }WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE THROUGH MIDNIGHT EST ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2021
AND IN PERSON/WALK UP AT THE EVENT ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 10TH.
